Apple to increase production in India by five times in five years to reach $40 billion

Apple manufactures iPhones in India and wants to start making Airpods from next year. iPhone maker Apple has plans to scale up production in India by over five-fold to around $40 billion (about 3.32 lakh crore) in the next 4-5 years, according to government sources. The government official says the company has crossed the $7 billion production mark in the last financial year and is increasing.

When asked, the officer said that Apple has no immediate plans to make iPads or its laptops in India, and they have no plans to participate in IT hardware PLI. Now, they are mainly focusing on scaling the existing production levels.

The Apple company globally sends iPhones worth  $191 billion and products worth $38.36 billion. The Apple company has become the largest exporter of mobile phones from India. As per the industry sources, the sales of the iPhone 15 series have a 100 percent growth, which is relatively high compared to the iPhone 14.

Now, it’s one of the first big companies to open its arms to India and made available the ‘made-in-India’ iPhones on the same day it started selling the devices in other parts of the globe. Apple is about to blow in India, and after the sales of the iPhone 15, there will be a considerable percentage of growth for the company. People are excited about the new launch of the iPhone series.
